March 2009-Present Graphic Design & Marketing Specialist
Wentworth, Inc. (part-time freelance) Chevy Chase, MD

Design print ads and other promotional print materials while researching and implementing various marketing initiatives to increase firms market visibility.

· Designed print ads to appear in various local news papers and publications.

· Develope and design direct mail campaigns to distribute to potential clients.

· Maintained good relationships with editorial contacts in order to promote individual projects for publication.

· Completed various administrative tasks including generating and updating contact lists to maintain organization and increase productivity during bulk mailing.

· Art directed issues of Residential Architect magazine during absence of Art Director.

· Received three Association of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) awards for page layouts designed, increasing design standards and recognition of the editorial brand.

· Assisted lead project manager in implementing new K4 publishing software and developing effective processes for repurposing editorial content, in order to increase editorial productivity and usability.

· Assisted web production team by creating graphics for publication web sites to decrease web production work load and increase continuity of print to web graphics.

· Developed unique illustrations, custom typography, commissioned and directed illustrators and
photographers in order to create page layout design that enhanced editorial content.

· Participated in brainstorming sessions by providing creative concepts to Art Director and editorial team to successfully meet deadlines and ensure design compliments content.

· Edited and evaluated images for printing and reproduction to insure quality and consistency.

· Generated and updated design templates to increase production speed and continuity.
